Obama World November 10, 2008
Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. This post however, will be worth it, if only for one reason: Super Obama World. For those of you feeling nostalgia for your old Super Nintendo console and games, the solution to your pains of sorrow has arrived. And its free. And its Obama. You collect US flags instead of coins; kill pigs, shopping women and money men instead of the usual assortment of reptiles, ghosts, and pissed off vegetation. (More Mario enemies can be found here) I haven’t made it very far in the game yet, basically I just learned of it and am still freaking out over its existence. I should be in Spanish class right now, but this game is just too much for me. For those of you who know me, my roommate Jackie and I are quite obsessed with Super Mario World. Like we won’t turn the console off for a few days at a time because we don’t want to lose our place. Anyhoo, have fun with this, I know I am! Here’s the game!
PS. I didn’t post about the election. I’m a proud Barack Obama supporter and I was crying with my friends at Krueger’s during his acceptance speech. And yelling at McCain supporters to shut up so I could hear what the man had to say. It was an incredible night and we will have an incredible president come January 20th. If I prayed, I would pray for the safety of Obama and his family because all the crazies seem to be coming out of the woodwork to attack this man. He has a tough job ahead of himself but I think he can do it. This election has restored my faith in American Politics. And that’s a lot coming from someone who previously denied being an American while overseas. And someone who very much considered moving out of the country after graduation.
Communal Activity November 4, 2008
Some friends of mine down the street decided to have a party of sorts on Saturday. About eleven of us showed up and we were hanging out, played some drums, listened to some music and then suddenly one of us threw up. I mean really retched. We all hoped the kid in question was alright, which he was soon. Then we decided to go outside and get all of us some fresh air. We continued to decorate the front, back and side lawn alley, with our communal vomit. It was not expected, but it happened. And in the end we were all laughing from our weak stomachs and wishing we have a video of this one kid’s sound effects, or at least a tape recorder, because he makes some really fantastic spewing noises. Even I ended up upchucking in the back yard. While this may not sound like most people’s idea of a fun Saturday, for us it was fantastic. A real bonding experience. Just absolutely fabulous.
All the rage November 3, 2008
So it seems that suddenly all of my friends are creating these revolutionary things commonly known as blogs. I was starting to feel a little left out so thought I would try my hand out on this and see how imaginative I could be. I’m all about trying something new, whether it be food, drink, or soap.
